Exhibition of Tilty Archaeology & Local History Group’s work
Saturday 13th August, 11am – 4:30 pm, taking place at The Guildhall, Thaxted. The exhibition will feature reports of schools in the Five Parishes, Maternity and Children’s Homes in Great Easton, the WW1 Memorials, WWII pillboxes, WWII plane crash, the life of Rev. Cuthbertson & tobacco growing, and the ‘Red Vicar’ the Rev Maxted.
There will also be the opportunity to take a look at the Test Pit finds, from the past two digs, and from the 1942 excavations.
